(From the Mouth of a Bard not a DMs recounting)
Long ago there was the Truly Great Continent, Trollidor. 1400 years ago, the Gods fought and Trollidor was torn asunder.
This teller of tales knows not of the eastern two thirds of Trell, but black mist was seen overtaking it from the south. The
mist was said to be as long as the horizon. The Trellions became the ruling class, quickly gaining power over a majority of
Trell. The Trellions never completely dominated the continent. The Far East (Frank's Domain) has only recently been controlled
or even attempted to be put under any direct control. Easterners are barbaric and in constant warfare with each other. Easterners
are constantly in battles for territory by the viceroys, lords, caliphs, vizier and generals a final victor never seems to
rise. The northwestern region has been the rival of the Trellions in warfare often holding their own against superior numbers.
Many claim godly influence is the only way the empire of Koth survived; I often wondered how a sleeping God could help its
people. The Northeast and southwest have always been economic regions kow towing to greatest military power of the day, paying
excessive taxes to keep the armies away. Loc-Narians seem to have reaped the greatest from there nearby neighbors. The riches
of Loc-Nar are rumored to be more valuable than all of the other Cities of Trell put together. Of course no one really knows
why the Trellions have let this go on, even when no one has seen a Trellian since the 'test of faith'.
In the time of the great Test of Faith, Trell was buried under great sand dunes. If not for the natural lay of the land,
the mountains appeared to have held onto the center of the unearthly sandstorm, we all would have been dead. Their land seemed
to have been sacrificed to preserve whole continent. If this was their choice we owe them much. Recently few cities have done
anything as far as foreign relations. As to the origin of this sand storm there are many stories, none ring true; the great
worm made a deal with the Gods, the gods blacksmith had no place to place his shavings after a huge sandstone statue of a
new God (?), the curse of a hideous and powerful women (stranger things have happened), a gateway to the elemental plane of
sand/dust (possibly), a natural occurring phenomenon (never).
Since "the test of faith" (What many zealots call the great sand storm) many of the Gods have left us. New elemental Denizens
(elemental consuls) have established some worship centers and the entire hierarchy of gods has changed. No more Luther, Horus,
Shang Ti, Athena, Oden and Quatom. Even control of magic has left this cursed land, most wizards have become wild and out
of control, many have left civilization for their own safety. When the entire East is under one person's command all
of Trell should not sleep well.
The end for now.(dated 22 After the Test of Faith{AtToF}.
88 AtToF, A HUGE black sphere has appeared on the lanscape of Trell (just northwest of the Valley of Fire).  I am
not sure how but part s of the West know seem flooded with water.  I wish I knew what the soruce of the sphere was and
if the return of water to Trell has any connection.
