Trell Appendix:
Arrow of Indestructibility: This
cursed item is frequently seen in Trell, if you ever see someone with a arrow in their hand while doing various things, it
typically means they carry one of these arrows, and can never release it. A score
of these arrows are claimed to exist often given to archers by people who wish to torment them.
Asilo Confederation (political area, see political map): This area in the southwest of Trell is one of the two economic supper powers of Trell. Once Guwin stopped ruling the trade and metal alternative were needed Asilos trade has exploded. The culture of Asilo has strong oriental influences. Major
cities include: Asilo, Barnwell, Ton,
ATGTOF: After The Great Test Of Faith.
Trell is a very religious Continent. They regarded the devastation of
the continent as a sign from the Mythos that they were testing the faithful and wanted to see how the truly faithful would
respond. The new dating system came after a conference of high priests from the
major deities.
Coven The (NPCs): A group of high-level wild mages, little is known about this
group.
Frank (NPC): Despot ruler of the barbaric southeast, known for his fangs, which
led many to question his linage and connection to the royal families.
Franks Fiefdom (political area): Until recently, this region of Trell has constantly
been in warfare, often thought of as the barbaric part of Trell. Several rules
have fought over control of this area for centuries. Franks lineage has been
brought into question, but rules with an iron fist and large standing army. Frank
has done what most considered impossible unite the barbaric clans of the southeast under one ruler. More neighboring countries would be afraid of this army if they were not constantly putting down rebellions
in the outlying area.
Garrit: previously run by John, currently a NPC, a halfling warrior who rides
a scorpion
Gleeman: a traveler, typically a bard who performs and tells stories
Gleemans cloak: A brightly covered
cloak of patches meant draw attention, often will have people follow the gleeman to there next show.
Guwin Empire of (political area see political map): For hundreds of years this country was in near complete control of Trell.
Guwin is home of the Trell Mountains and Trell City. 800 years ago they
began to lose power and continued until they barely had control over the Island east of Trell.
Ever since the Great Test Of Faith, no one has traded with them or even seen/spoken to a person from Guwin. Their dwindling power gave rise to the warfare in what is now called Franks Fiefdom and allowed the Cthulu
church to thrive in Koth. The mystery of Guwin is a mystery no one seems interested
in solving. Trading ships steer clear of the Islands and they only report occasional
sea going vessels in the area around Guwin, but they always appear abandoned.
Harness of pensive thought causes most bearer to seem a little crazy and talk
to them self, they also seem slow in thought, although not dumb.
Helm of unlimited limited vision, has no eye slits but seems to convey great
nearsightedness but very poor farsightedness.
Koth, The Empire of (political area see political map): This empire covers the northwest part of Trell (see political map).
Followers of Cthulu openly control it. Entrance to Koths second largest
city is only granted to Cthulu worshippers. Most of the trading is done through
the City of Cth.
Loc-Nar Oligarchy (political area, city, see political map): Loc-Nar is the
capital and only major city in Loc-Nar. Many other villages exist but are rarely
more than 200 people.
Louis X, High King: a young bard who recently became the ruler of Loc-Nar.
Lux: A bald hunter who died and was scalped for the map tattooed on his head.
Pip: Previously run by Kim, currently a NPC, sorceress quarterling
Sebellicus: A carpet-flying wizard who typically has a metal Minataur with
him and has been credited with all types of vile acts
Talon: A gyth hunter of some renown, known for his large horned helmet
Trell: see brief history (navigation bar)
Trolidor: also see brief history (navigation bar)
Usil: A Chimera (current status: dead) who manipulated the visionaries for
several adventure and died by their hand.
Valley of Fire: This region was
a desert before the Great Test Of Faith, since then is has become a true valley of fire, where the hottest temperatures on
Trell are recorded. This dust storm filled desert can kill a man without water
quickly. The Valley of Fire is not ruled per say, but the Dragon king is known
to reside somewhere in the vast rolling dunes along with quite a few other deadly desert monsters.
Wild Magic: The magic in Trell is considered wild unless used by a specialist. See wild mage class in PH
